If Gary looks familiar, there’s a reason. I first sculpted this snail-cat hybrid back in 2013, and since then, his curious little face has wandered the internet far and wide. Inspired by SpongeBob’s meowing snail of the same name, Gary has become a tiny icon of patience, weirdness, and charm.

Now, he’s back in paint. This original 11"x14" acrylic on 4 mm hardboard panel was created using Golden acrylics—renowned for their richness and depth—and combines heavy, expressive brushstrokes with soft, luminous airbrushing.
