This original artwork was conceptualized and created entirely by hand. To build the reference for the piece, I combined multiple reference photographs into a single digital composite. Because no real cat looks quite like this, I seamlessly merged features from different cats and adjusted the colors to design the perfect character. I digitally painted missing elements, like the witch hat, dedicating several hours to creating a strong reference study.

Once the study was complete, I manually transferred it to a gessoed MDF art panel for traditional painting. This piece features endless hours of meticulous brushwork, beautifully blending classic paintbrush techniques with smooth airbrushing. To finish the painting, I applied subtle amounts of glitter and mica powder for a magical shimmer before sealing the surface with Kamar varnish.
